Sunday Ink #50

This is an oldie that I never posted before for some reason... It's from Shakespear's Pub on 6th street in Austin maybe a year and a half ago... Oh, well. Better late than never I suppose.

Sunday Ink #49

This young redhead was at a Civil War Reenactment of all things... Much ink and much sunburn, poor thing... Still, I couldn't help asking for a picture of her tats of Jack Skellington and Sally.
I hope she spent the rest of the weekend sitting in the shade, But I thank her for letting me post this.

Sunday Ink #48

This young lady comes to us via Buffalo, NY. As some of you know I made a little sojurn to the big apple over the holidays, but, no, I found "A" in small town North Carolina where she's been for a few years. It all started with a shot of the ink on her wrist, which came out too blurry to use, but I figured you guys would appreciate this more anyway. Enjoy, and say thanks to "A" from New York State.

Sunday Ink # 47

Oh, Canada! "A" the long tall beauty is a northern neighbor just in town for a visit. She was very gracious about letting me get a shot of this awesome artwork... And since she towered over me at six feet, two inches, gracious is the word of the day. In fact, I'll say it again, "Gracious". I have to say, this "tree of life" is impressive, and so was she. Thanks, doll for sharing.

Sunday Ink #46

Say Howdy to "A". Quite a little cupcake, she's a bartender at Tabu... A bar in the basement of an old church that is now a great Italian Resturant... Wow, that was convoluted... "A" may be the subject of more than one Sunday Ink, mainly because she was working and she has other tats that I want documented... Her knees in particular (You sick freaks). The top one is unfinished, colorwise that is.
The second one... Well, that's just yummy. Thanks sweetie, I guess there is some local ink to be addressed around here afterall.

Sunday Ink #45

Back, for a limited time only... Sort of like the McRib Sandwich... I give you... SUNDAY INK!

I quit taking tattoo pictures a long while back. I think I have a couple left over from my ATX days, so I'll use the rest of my stockpile and we'll see what happens from there. This is the only new ink photo I have. I went to see my beloved Pirates get beaten by the Heels in Chapel Hill with my buddy Doc. At the bar where we met before the game, we both noticed this young lady at the same time. So... For old time's sake I snaped a shot with my handy dandy iPhone. If I got her name, I forgot it... So not even a first inital for 45. I thought it was an odd mix of celtic and a sort of latin feel. I do remember that it's an original, a one of a kind... Gotta love that. Thanks Darlin'. You just may be the start of a new era for me.

Sunday Ink #44

I went out last night for a glass of bourbon or two last night, and stopped off at this hip happenin' joint on east 6th not too far from the casa. The clientele was remarkably uninked for Austin, but the waitress... Ah, the petite little doll with the short black hair... And artwork on her shoulder. This is "C". The language is Turkish. The translation (I hope I got this right, it was a long day and I was drinking 114 proof single barrel bourbon) is "Have a cup of tea" or "Would you like a cup of tea" She also had ink on the inside of one of her biceps. I think hidden ink like that is incredibly sexy, so in defference to that I left it unphotographed.

Sunday Ink #43

Sorry for the delay... Work has been insane and I've not been paying attention to my Sunday Ink studies... That being said, meet "K" a little blond slip of a thing, I saw a glimpse of her tattoo in the space between her oh so short cutoffs and her t-shirt. I asked her if she wanted to be a Sunday Ink girl and she said yes without missing a beat... Welcome to the show, babe.

Sunday Ink #42

This is "M"... She's an absolute cutie and a sweetheart of a waitress at one of the Irish pubs on 6th street here in Austin. This is a fresh pic... In fact I was late posting today because I only took this picture last night around 10 pm. I really like the combination of the triquetra and the shamrock and the shading is really nice. Sometimes the smallest ones can be the most beautiful.

Sunday Ink # 41

I was sitting at the Key Bar on 6th street on a hot Sunday afternoon, quaffing Guinness in copious amounts, this young lady, "L", came in and sat very near me. A beautiful girl with a few other beautiful girls, she had both arms all sewn up. I knew I had to make her a Sunday Ink girl. Then the woman sitting next to me said, "You have to get her legs." Holy Mother of God. What a set of stems, and the artwork is outstanding.

So... Top picture is great art. May be a story, I don't know.

Middle picture (The long shapely leg...), tells a story. The woman has stolen the pearl of life from the dragon king and in the end kills heself and hides it within her own body to protect it from him to save the world.

Bottom picture (her back) is sanscrit for all a woman is... Top to bottom Mother, daughter, sister, lover, goddess.

The more I saw, the more I wanted to see... And this is just a fraction.

Beautiful women. Beautiful Ink. Beautiful day.
